Fee Schedule
Currently my work days are Mondays and Wednesdays. To arrange an appointment please contact me by telephone or e-mail.
The cost of sessions are $160 for a 50-60 minute consultation (discounted from the full fee rate of $280 as recommended by the Australian Psychological Society). The Medicare Rebate is $93.35. Therefore the maximum out of pocket expense is $66.65.
Clients who hold a valid health care card or pensioner concession card may be eligible for a reduced rate in negotiation with myself prior to scheduling an appointment or during the first appointment.
Clients are expected to pay for the session at each appointment.
Medicare Rebates
Most clients are referred by their GP under Medicare’s Better Access Program, with a Mental Health Care Plan. This may provide up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year.
Private Health Insurance
Most health insurers now offer a part rebate for psychology counselling. If you choose to go private it is a good idea to check with your health insurer first. Private health rebates cannot be used if referred under Medicare.
Cancellation Policy
When an appointment is booked, the entire hour is reserved for you. The following cancellation policy applies:
- 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel appointments will incur no fee (all cancellations must be received by 12 noon the day prior to the appointment).
- Cancellations received with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full fee of $160.
- No notice of a missed appointment will also incur the full fee.
